Wrong route - why?

When I try routing through Yellowstone, GraphHopper won’t return the same short route as OSRM. I have tried tagging the barriers with explicit access (on Monday), but GraphHopper still won’t generate properly around Mammoth.

Route OSRM: https://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=osrm_car&route=44.9852%2C-110.6914%3B44.7738%2C-110.7350#map=11/44.8797/-110.7182
Route GraphHopper: https://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=graphhopper_car&route=44.9852%2C-110.6914%3B44.7738%2C-110.7350#map=11/44.8447/-110.5582

What’s causing this behavior?

I think, the reason is the access restriction: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/353677190

access:conditional:no @ (Nov-Apr)

That is because it’s closed during winter. Any suggestion on how I can tag it to make GraphHopper able to route properly?

It is currently not possible to route through such a seasonal closed road at the time when it is closed.

That is a problem for me. My users mostly plan future trips. We don’t use GraphHopper for real time navigation. Are there no parameters, or anything that can be done?

Are GraphHopper able to properly detect the correct season from that tag, or is it just always inaccessible to GraphHopper?

Unfortunately there is no configuration possible at the moment, although we are working on something to fix this in a more generic way. (The only possibility at the moment is a dedicated setup)

Will GraphHopper be able to route correctly when we get to April/May, and the road reopens?

In May, yes
