When are OSM changes imported to GH?

Hi,

we often face the problem, that we improve data set in OSM and expect them to be transfered to the GH APIs in a couple of days or weeks, but sometime they aren’t.

Example:
We added the housenumbers here one month ago:

When we query with provider=nominatim, then we get the wanted result. With the default provider in the API (the SH OSM-“mirror”?) don’t. But due to some other reasons, the GH default provider returns much better data in some corner cases, that why we want to keep it. But then we need a more actual data set.

We have plenty of equal examples. Is it our fault, do we miss something?

Usually we do one weekly data update for the default data provider. So a change might take up to 1-2 weeks to show up there. We’ll investigate this.

Can you give me some examples were the default gives you better results than nominatim? Of course for the auto complete use case the default provider (photon) is a better fit, but otherwise nominatim should be same or sometimes better (from personal experience and customer feedback).

(btw: for the routing data the update time depends on the profile and the range is from 1 to 3.5 days, i.e. a change might take up to 7 days).
