Yes, this is possible and for the Route Optimization API a custom vehicle profile (Custom Profiles API) is required. You can contact our support and we can enable this feature for your paid plan to try it out, or if you have a premium plan you already can use it. When you do let us know the required geographical coverage and which base profile we can create a test profile for you to try.
