Here setting the “Access time beta” parameter (pt.beta_access_time) to 10 takes the user to the nearest public transit station, which shows 5 mins of travelling time to the station. The light blue line is the car route to the station.
However, decreasing the Access time beta parameter to 1 (or up to 4) rather INCREASES the travel time to the station to 20 mins.
If I’m understanding correctly, isn’t Access time beta the desirable travelling time to get to the station and, therefore, decreasing it should try to find the nearer station?
